I’m riding back from a long weekend at the beach today. I saw this thing in a parking lot by a beach and can’t decide whether it’s supposed to look like that or the suspension just collapsed.
Anyway, we drove through Mobile on the way back and I saw three Independence-class Littoral Combat Ships in port! I didn’t think to snap a picture of them in time, so have another pretty picture.

The Port of Mobile always has cool shit in port, especially in the dry docks. Whenever it was that the Carnival ship lost it’s engine at sea and had to be towed back to Mobile, I got to see that. It’s hilarious that they had to get the tow of shame back to Mobile, since they had just fucked the city over by closing the Carnival port.

Given the wheels that are on it, it’s probably on purpose, but who knows? Maybe the suspension gave out and the owner thought it'd be a good opportunity to try something new.

It was certainly strange. It didn't look abandoned, but there was some sort of something piled up underneath the truck.

Piled up underneath the truck.... perhaps it was just bits of undercarriage that have freed themselves from the truck because of the excellent ground clearance.

Not sure if serious...
It’s on purpose. There’s a whole lot of stuff under a truck that has to be cut/moved to get the body to sit on the ground. Like the axles.

It looked like some sort of debris...
